This new series further explores the idea of interaction.  Each work is made up of multiple parts: a drum base with recesses which hold one or more seed-like rattles.  They exhibit the possibility of movement, though the relocation of any piece would altar the intended message.  The ability of the parts to function is still an important factor, but I prefer that it be more of a pleasant surprise than the main focus. I desire for them to first stand alone as sculpture.

My current works return to function.  These are larger-scale drums which are incised and suspended from the ceiling.  (More to come upon completion.)
