My work explores the moments that shape who I am, from cherished to unpleasant and everything in between. These moments of growth are conveyed through sculpted figures that capture a cartoon-like version of myself. Through my humorous approach to the narratives along with sharing my life-experiences, I hope to connect with the viewer on a more personal level. I believe self-reflection is an essential part of human evolution and individual growth and that we can empower ourselves by contemplating our experiences, understanding how and why we embody them, and making conscious choices going forward. For me, living is about reflecting, learning, and evolving the person I want to be…and I for one, find it all goes down easier with laughter.
